The superior quality steel used in construction helps to ensure your animals are kept safe from foxes, rats, and other rodents. Despite the name, the Absco Sheds coops aren’t limited just to keeping chickens safe and secure. They can also be used as an aviary, dog kennel, cattery, or animal shelter. 

The combination of the wider mesh panels and Colorbond colour choices work well together to ensure your animals are kept comfortable in the Australian heat. 

This small sized coop is made in Australia in our Brisbane factory so you can be sure it’s built to last. If you’re still not convinced, we’ve backed our product with a 30-year written warranty to give you peace of mind in your purchase decision.  

NOTE: Before use, galvanised mesh should be weathered for two (2) months or scrubbed with a mild acidic solution, such as vinegar, then rinsed thoroughly with clean water. Please check our aviary is suitable for your pet before purchase.

Absco Chicken Coops are designed for straightforward DIY assembly with the patented SNAPTiTE® system, which locks panels together with fewer screws. Kits include all parts and fixings, and come with pre-punched holes and labelled parts, with step-by-step manuals and assembly videos available via the free Absco Assembly App.

All chicken coops are DIY flat-pack kits and are designed as permanent, fixed structures. For best results and warranty purposes, the coop should be securely anchored to a concrete slab. Anchor requirements vary by model and may need to be purchased separately.

Before introducing birds or animals, galvanised mesh should either be weathered for two months or scrubbed with a mild acidic solution, such as vinegar, then rinsed thoroughly with clean water. This helps prepare the mesh before use.

For best results, allow a weekend, have at least two people for assembly, and use trestles or timber to work at waist height. Watching the assembly videos before starting will make the process smoother and faster.

The Organic Garden Co offers home delivery for chicken coops across most metro and regional areas in Australia.

Home delivery for chicken coops is charged based on the total order value:

• Orders under $1,300: $249 delivery fee
• Orders from $1,300 to $1,999.99: $299 delivery fee
• Orders from $2,000 to $2,999.99: $349 delivery fee
• Orders of $3,000 or more: $399 delivery fee

Chicken coops are dispatched within up to 20 working days, with delivery taking up to 15 working days after dispatch. Delivery dates cannot be guaranteed, and production or delivery lead times may change.

Customers can authorise the freight company to leave the package at the front of the property. If the driver considers the delivery area unsafe, the order may be redirected to a collection point.

In some cases, where delivery costs are deemed excessive or materially higher than the amount charged at checkout, The Organic Garden Co may provide the option to pay the difference or cancel the order for a full refund.
